In April waters on a thousand

In April waters on a thousand

There is a saying that says: in April waters on a thousand! In this month water becomes the protagonist both here and in Thailand, with the Songkran festival, the Buddhist New Year.

The celebrations of the Songkran last three days, and the Thais recreate a war of water to receive the monsoon season and to purify themselves: to wash themselves of their own sins and their own bad luck.

A few years ago, water was thrown at Buddha figures and temples, and then cleaned with this blessed water, an iconic ritual.

One of the most amazing places to experience this festival is on Khao San Road in Bangkok.

In addition, this festival comes at a time of year of intense heat, so these fun water battles also serves to combat high temperatures.

If you are in Bangkok we recommend going to Khao San Road and Silom! And if you stay here ... you can be in Silom without having to cross the sea! Yes! Do not worry that here you will not go out soaked with water
